About the Company

Our client was founded in January 2015. It has evolved to be an advanced biotech enterprise specializing in noninvasive cancer detection kits (including devices, reagents, and equipment) and POCT products. They offer a featured IVD product that has been implemented in over 700 major top hospitals, covering almost all provincial areas in China by far.

As a leading benchmark company in the industry with a world class R&D team, our client has engaged early detection kits for lung, bladder, cervical, liver, and other POCT products actively in the development process to enrich its pipeline, of which some will be ready for market in the next couple years.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing, and nurturing strategic partnerships and business opportunities that align with their mission and growth objectives. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and expanding their business network, fostering collaborations, and driving revenue growth.

Preferred Experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscapes within the industry and the respective region.

  • Deal Negotiation: Lead negotiations and contractual discussions with potential partners, ensuring terms and agreements align with the company's goals and objectives.

  • Sales and Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales revenue through existing and new business channels. Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.

  • Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of potential partnerships and opportunities, tracking progress and reporting regularly to senior management.

  • Networking: Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and meetings, building and maintaining a strong professional network within the biotech sector.

  • Market Expansion: Explore and evaluate opportunities to expand the company's market presence globally, identifying key regions and partners for growth.

  • Market Insights: Gather and provide insights on market dynamics, customer needs, and emerging technologies to inform product development and business strategy.

Key Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in the business field

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or related roles, ideally within the biotech industry

  • Strong understanding of biotechnology and related markets, trends, and technologies

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking

  • Fluent English is a must; additionally fluent German, French, or Italian is a big plus
