We are looking for an HR Specialist to join us in Berlin, supporting both our Germany and Netherlands based teams across the whole employee lifecycle. You will be supported by a HR Coordinator in Utrecht, and well as the wider Human Capital team in the US and Europe.

What you will do
This role will stretch you as you seek to progress your career to the next level. Working closely the HR Business Partner you will:
Be an advisor to local employees of all HR related matters.
Manage local payroll administration and set up and improve the efficiency of HR-related services and policies and analyze trends and metrics.
Act as a coach for employees where needed and support the organisation’s Inclusion and Diversity activities.
Support employees through the performance management cycle
Cooperate with the Works Council with a focus on advancing the implementation of the global and country company policies, systems and tools as harmonized as possible. Participate in the conception, negotiation, introduction, and implementation of works agreements in close collaboration with the international HR team.
Supported by an HR Associate based in the Berlin office other responsibilities will include:
HR contact for employees for all benefit and core employee processes, partnering with the HR Business Partners for complex issues.
Process changes across the employee life cycle in partnership with centralized HR teams in the UK and US.
Assist and oversee the administrative onboarding process in partnership with Talent Acquisitions and the Onboarding team in the US and provide HR onboarding training to new hires on their start day.
Coordinate Internship recruitment efforts, liaise with the Universities and be an ambassador at career events.
Submission and reviewing of monthly payroll in close collaboration with the payroll team and external provider.
Supporting absenteeism management activities, ranging from administration to advising managers and employees on reintegration efforts.
Arranging and administering a range of HR related processes, such as the vacation registration process, public transport cards and preparing employer statements.
You are the Go-to person for HR related data reports and analysis of that data.
Support the wider HR team with recurring HR processes including performance management and talent reviews, employee relation matters, projects and ad-hoc requests.
Support HR Business Partner with the process of any grievances, complaints, performance management matters or disciplinaries.
Leverage relevant HR system (Workday – training provided) and Excel for reporting.
Management and archiving of human resources records
Besides the day to day work you take initiative to look for improvement in processes and tools and you know how to raise these with the relevant internal team members
Ensure orderly HR administration and fulfillment of legal requirements in regard to maternity leave, parental leave, long term illnesses etc.
